Congratulations to Marissa Mayer, former Google Senior Vice President, who was just named as Yahoo!’s new CEO. At our 2012 Celebrating Change benefit, IMOW presented Marissa Mayer with the first-ever IMOW Innovator Award.  When she accepted her award, she spoke about her passion for technology and why she was proud to be a geek. “Passion is geek-enabling, and passion is also gender neutralizing. Since MAMA’s launch, we have featured a new gallery every month and spearheaded a global pop-up photography project, Making Mothers Visible. MAMA has been a hit with over 100,000 visits to date, but we aren’t done yet.
