Los 20 del Reina Sofía


El museo de Arte Contemporáneo Reina Sofía celebra este 2010 su vigésimo aniversario como Museo Nacional: una efeméride para la que se ha programado un conjunto de actividades especiales, junto con la apertura de la cuarta planta del edificio Sabatini con una nueva reordenación de la colección, correspondiente a los años 40-60. La celebración ha dejado una integración de nuevas lecturas sobre la colección y la apertura de interesantes exposiciones , en una cita que se ha desarrollado como una mirada a la historia reciente de este centro de referencia en España, pero también a su futuro como entidad adaptable a las nuevas necesidades.


Y en este contexto de análisis crítico de la dirección de la institución museística, el Centro ha llevado a cabo a lo largo del mes de noviembre toda una serie de actividades y conferencias -cuyo eje y referente constante ha sido el espectador-, que ha tenido como plato fuerte la presentación de la colección reordenada bajo el epígrafe ¿La Guerra ha terminado? Arte en un mundo dividido (1945-1968), patrocinada por la Real Fundación de Amigos del Museo Reina Sofía. Una nueva instalación que "recorre las transformaciones artísticas en la posguerra mientras empieza a conformarse una geopolítica internacional tensionada entre dos mundos y sistemas antagónicos, Estados Unidos y la Unión Soviética."

La muestra puede visitarse desde el 24 de noviembre pasado y forma parte del conjunto residual de un aniversario que ha dejado para el gran público exposiciones tan diversas e interesantes como (junto con la ya citada) ATLAS. ¿Cómo llevar el mundo a cuestas? (hasta el 28 de marzo, Edificio Sabatini) o Miroslaw Balka. ctrl (hasta el 25 de abril, Abadía Santo Domingo de Silos en Burgos y Sala de Bóvedas, Museo Reina Sofía). Ambas puntos de inflexión que llevan al espectador a forzar una reflexión, que nunca está de más, en torno al objeto artístico y la contemporaneidad plástica.
