	Artists Wanted presents : Mathieu Asselin Friday, June 29, 2012 from 7pm - 10pm 25-25 44th Drive, Long Island City, New York 11101 Click Here to RSVP On May 22, 2011 the deadliest tornado in the United States since 1947 drove through the city of Joplin, Missouri, killing 161 people, obliterating 8,000 buildings and ultimately causing $2.8 billion in damages. Mathieu Asselin traveled to Joplin the week after the storm, documenting the new landscape and seeking expression in the faces of those who had experienced that the notion of controlling our lives is just that: a mere notion. Asselin is the Grand Prize Winner of One Life 2011. Special thanks to chashama and Rockrose.
