The repetition overkill of David Shrigley is self-consciously reckless and leads to chuckles and absent punchlines. On the opposite end, Arthur Bispo do Rosário spent fifty years of his life consumed by the task of creating objects for a higher purpose: a religious duty rather than an artistic pursuit. In Jonathan Beer's paintings, he relinquishes control, suspends reality, with a fluid juxtaposition of divergent colors, objects and geometries. And in Amsterdam, a parking garage is taken over by a chaotic conglomeration of artworks, from an inverted automobile to an impossible golf course.
