![]() | Join IMOW and Global Fund for Women on July 27 in San Francisco for an exciting book event celebrating the release of Land of the Unconquerable: The Lives of Contemporary Afghan Women. The evening will feature coeditor Ashraf Zahediand contributor Amina Kator in conversation with Kavita Ramdas, former CEO of the Global Fund for Women, discussing what it means to be an Afghan woman today. Event details: Wednesday, July 27. Check-in and wine reception begins at 5:30 p.m., program begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by book sale and signing. Russ Building, 235 Montgomery Street, 12th Floor, San Francisco. Tickets are $5 for members, $10 for non-members. Land of the Unconquerable offers a three-dimensional portrait of Afghan women.
